POKE pronounce like Pokemon, minus the mon! Lol! Poke is Hawaiian for “to section” or “to slice or cut”. Poke is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine, and sometimes like here in south Florida as a main course. Naturally Miami as the capital of other raw fish dishes like ceviche & sushi, Poke would of course be the next big food trend. Raw fish diced & mixed with hearty greens, yummy veggies, topped with some fresh avocado, is a dream come true! (Don’t forget the hot sauce) It’s no wonder why Poke is taking over and here are a few of my favorite places you can go to try Poke if you haven’t already!
